Role Summary/Purpose: | Control System Lead Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. |
Essential Responsibilities: | - Design of control system architecture for turboprop applications and requirements flow down definition to component level,
- Develop and execute physics and MATLAB based models and simulations to enable integrated designs and trades,
- Conduct research on new and available technologies for turboprop controls as well as integration,
- Support overall engine control system development programs including conceptual design, proposal preparation, customer interactions, and program planning,
- Participate on design of electronic a and electrical devices related to engine control system, its testing, health monitoring system,
- Participate on design of engine control system considering, fuel system, oil system, propeller system,
- Carry out proposal of new control system devices in compliance with standard regulations such as CS-E, RTCA-DO,ARP,
- Define and supervise engine control system / component substantiation analysis and validation tests,
- Validates engine control system by means of engine test bed,
- Provide input for the definition of engine manuals and technical guidance relevant to engine control system,
- Provides engine installation support, interact with customers and select the best solution on base of customer requirements,
- Respond to design and/or engine problems through anticipated developed action plans and provided timely communications on significant issues or developments,
- Interacted with co-workers within engineering organization community to establish and communicate best practices, latest technical breakthroughs, and contributions,
- Demonstrates good communication skill, technological and analytical solution for his work within engine control systems and externals,
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks in consistent with the engineering policies and procedures,
- Provided technical guidance to other personnel and assigned trainees,
- Participated as a presenter in technical and program reviews.

Qualifications/Requirements: | - Advanced Degree(s) in Electrical/Electronic or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college or university (or equivalent in knowledge/experience),
- Experience in the design of electronic and electrical circuits,
- Strong computer modeling & simulation skills and experience,
- Experience with MATLAB, Simulink,
- Experience with statistical and machine learning techniques,
- Familiarity with turbo-shaft and turbo-prop propulsion systems,
- Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems,
- Strong oral and written communication skills,
- Experience with turbine engine performance and operation,
- Familiarity with engine control systems,
- PC proficiency.
