Role Summary/Purpose: GE Aviation Czech is undergoing an exciting digital transformation across its entire organisation that will make it a leader in design and product definition. Over the past few years we have built the foundations of this system and are now looking to extend this to build a simpler, more efficient system that brings connects the whole lifecycle together.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Complete and extend our current integration of NX and Teamcenter,
  • Take responsibility for working with our local vendor for delivery of NX customisations,
  • Provide best-practice experience and up-skill existing CAD users (Design and Production (CAM) Engineers),
  • Manage CAD training events,
  • Test and provide end-user support of CAD system upgrades,
  • Take ownership of our CAD future by driving new capabilities such as: Live Cross-Sections, Digital Virtual Engine, Model Based Definition and 3D PDFs,
  • Be the Czech focal point for convergence to GE Aviation global CAD standards,
  • Prepare our CAD system and users for the transfer of Product Definition capabilities of GE's globally designed next generation Turboprop engine.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Graduate of Mechanical Design Engineering,
  • Proven experience with 3D CAD (NX is desirable) and Product Data Management tools within a design team is essential,
  • Project Management and team organization experience will be a key differentiator for the successful candidate,
  • Design development experience within the Aviation sector is advantageous,
  • Strong English proficiency, both written and verbal.
